Found on 18th April 2009, this insect was only tentatively identified as Andrena cineraria. It wasn't until 11th April the following year (2010) that I positively identified them and found that only a few records had previously been obtained from Essex.

Subsequently, the species seems to have become quite common hereabouts, with many being observed in Manor Park Cemetery in April 2016.
