This is the first time I have seen a Tortoise Bug Eurygaster testudinaria. The unusual background is Richard Oakman's pullover, as that was where the bug was sitting after we had walked through rough grass opposite the gates of the City of London Cemetery.

As far as I am aware, this species has not been recorded in Epping Forest before.
