Notes
This was spotted by Gill James in her Aldersbrook garden, and watched and photographed by Tim Harris It was later ascertained that it was a Willow Emerald - the first local record and indeed the first known in East London.
It is known that this species seems to be colonising East Anglia, breeding in Suffolk and north-east Essex.
Another was seen and photographed by Kathy H. by the Heronry Pond in Wanstead Park on 15th October 2017.
