Notes
These are the spine-less leaves which are found higher on holly trees. Out of reach of grazing animals, less effort is required of the plant to provide the spines.
These leaves are particularly shiny, and it may be that this is not a specimen of the common holly Ilex aquifolium, but one of the many varieties that may be found in the cemetery.
